Ice Girl

by Bill Funk

Image started as a portrait of my daughter. Used Photoshop's chrome filter and layer blend mode effects to get ice effect. Flames from a log fire in Portugal, icicles on head from a Kodak Instamatic shot taken 25 years ago.

Stands out! I thought that it won't be possible to create something like this just using the Photoshop. but you've done... I would like to see it in detail

Nice work this one. Haven't seen any thing like this. I read the Tut.. And it suprised me that you used the monocrome effect. I always forget to use the standard filters in PS. Really nice Billy!

Thanks gary, and cool that you remember this from the mag. The chrome filter is a great tool, but not on its own as it works only in monochrome. use it with layer blending and the possibilities are endless!
