Afrocentric Pink

by Timothy Wise

Work inspired by Charissa Jones. Charissa requested that I work on a t-shirt design for her new company and this was the result of an idea. While it's not even close to what she asked for it was an idea I had and had to run with it. Fairly simple work done here in Photoshop CS2 with some custom brush work for the hair and layer tweaking. Was thinking about adding some Disco glasses, but I like seeing her eyes in this one.

Thanks Roberto and Alan! It's a great honor to be chosen. 52 lucky people get this honor per year so it's just nice to be one of them. I'm not sure I deserve it, but thank you.

Thanks you two! The whole POTW has been something I wanted to make for a long time so it's an amazing feeling to have it awarded. The good thing about computers is that you can't see me jumping around like a fool, ha ha ha. Thank you again

Thank you Marta, the credit for those little bubbles go to a brush downloaded off of the DeviantART site. I normally make my own brushes but I wanted a fresh perspective and flow.

Thanks Alan, Thanks Scott! It's been a while since I've done art in Photoshop so it was just nice to get my hands dirty again. The hair was a simple brush setting with an old random brush from a couple years ago.
