Gradient Light

by Marta K

This is a combination of two tutorials from issue 52 and 53. I made a few mistakes here, and I also learned a whole bunch. My first mistake was not including the body, and now it kind of looks like a floating head, but a pretty floating head, lol. Also I think I should have included more in the background, but I flatened the image to soon. And again I still can't get that layer thing down. For anyone who has time and PC2, and would like to help me, I would most appriciate it. This was originally going to be just one tutorial, but I kind of got stuck with directions, so I had to come up with some other things. I'm kind of glad that I have been playing around with photoshop for about 2 years now, but only to enhance my photography. I never did any tutorials, and often had to figure things out on my own. In this piece I came up with the glow around her by going to "layers", then "drop shadow", and "overlay" which in this case was aquamarine. But I am finding out thanks to PCM, that there are much simpler ways to do things. This took me about 5 hours to make, and it was only an hour tutorial. I hope I get better soon. If you have any questions on how I made anything, just drop me a line.
